Our Process
Items are produced once we receive an order, items are printed specifically for you so no two pieces are exactly the same. This allows us to avoid textile waste from overproduction. In addition to printing on demand to prevent over production, we also offer some eco-friendly products (i.e. products that are made of >70% recycled or organic material). For example our Women's Two-Piece Bikini is made of 81% recycled polyester.
Our swimwear products are produced with the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique, which is a printing method where ink is first sprayed directly onto the garment, and then it soaks into the fabric. Our suppliers use Kornit printers that generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than other standard industry printers. The inks used for printing are Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. We take care to properly dispose of any left-over ink according to the ink supplier guidelines.
In 2022 our primary supplier was able to recycle 787,524 lb. of product, and saved and repurposed 19,637 sq. ft. of fabric scrap. We along with our suppliers are always working toward greener production.
Packaging
All of our swimsuits are packaged in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The outside plastic mailer contains a minimum of 50% PCR, and the inside clear plastic bag contains a minimum of 30% PCR.
What is PCR?
PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first-use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.
Production and Shipping
Because our products are made once we receive the order, it takes us some time to create your one of a kind product(s), and get them shipped to you. We currently only sell in the United States and have warehouses around the country. We do our very best to produce your product at the location that will get the product delivered to you the quickest. When you order your product we provide an estimated delivery date, and provide e-mails to ensure you stay informed, and are able to track your products.
